Literacy development

Students begin by studying a broad survey of literature, such as novels, plays, poetry, and short stories. The curriculum shifts to a more in-depth exploration of Christian themes in literature. Students then focus on American literature, with increased emphasis on applying faith perspectives to historical and cultural contexts. Students finish with a well-rounded engagement with world literature, philosophy, and the historical context of the Bible.

spiritual development

Students engage with the themes of Creation, Fall, and Redemption to develop a deeper understanding of biblical doctrine. They also evaluate ethical perspectives and belief systems by examining contemporary ideas through a biblical worldview.

Math development

Students progress through a structured sequence of mathematics courses, beginning with Algebra, followed by Geometry, then Algebra II, and culminating in Pre-Calculus.
 

science and social studies development

Students first develop a foundational understanding of health and physical science, followed by the study of biology, then chemistry, and ultimately human anatomy using hands-on learning opportunities. Students examine global developments through the study of World History, then analyze the structure and function of the American government. This is followed by an exploration of American History, and concludes with an introduction to the fundamentals of financial literacy and economics.

Electives

Students are able to choose from a variety of electives that reflect student interests: Worship and the Arts, Yearbook and Journalism, Technology: Intro to Cybersecurity and Robotics, and Art.

Dual enrollment opportunities

The Dual Enrollment Program allows eligible 11th and 12th Grade students to enroll in college-level courses that simultaneously earn credit toward both their high school diploma and a college degree. We partner closely with Georgia Military College, Augusta University, and the University of South Carolina Aiken to offer this opportunity. Students may choose to attend classes in person or, for select courses, complete their coursework online. For students attending a Georgia institution, the state covers tuition up to a maximum of 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours total.
