Administration

Mr. Phillips is a graduate of Athens Christian School and Liberty University. He holds a Masters Degree in Sports Management and Administration and a Masters Degree in Education Administration and Supervision. He has served in multiple administrative capacities in education since 2012. Before entering into the field of education, he served in several different administrative roles in his previous career. He and his wife Angie have three children.

Mrs. Belser is a graduate of Spelman College with a Bachelor of Arts in English. She holds a Master of Divinity degree in Scripture and Interpretation from Emory University Candler School of Theology and a Master of Arts degree in Children and Family Ministries from Bethel Seminary. Growing up in Illinois, she knew she was called at an early age to work with and be an advocate for children. Prior to joining the CBS family, she taught school in Atlanta and Augusta areas. She has served in ministry and education for over 20 years combined and was a Children’s Pastor for over five years. Mrs. Belser and her husband are members of Greater Young Zion Baptist Church in Augusta where she actively serves in the Christian Education Children’s Department.

Jessica Reed holds an M. Ed. in School Counseling from Augusta State University and a B.S. in Psychology from Georgia College & State University. She previously worked at Augusta University as an Academic Advisor, working with the Pre-Nursing students.

Mr. Larry Ford is a graduate of Tennessee Temple University. He has served as an educator for over 30 years in capacities such as teacher, dean of students, and administration. He has been part of the Curtis Baptist School family since 2003. In addition to his educational experience, Mr. Ford serves as Pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Trenton, SC.

Tim Johnson graduated high school from Lakeside Christian School in Clearwater, FL. He continued his education at Clearwater Christian College where he finished his B.S. degree focusing in History and Communications. Coach Johnson was born and raised in Oldsmar, Florida where he spent most of his time in education, coaching basketball and other sports, working with city code enforcement, and improvisational/stand-up comedy. Coach Johnson is married to his wife Brittany and has two boys, Timmy and Taylor. If you want to find Tim, he is probably shooting basketballs in the gym or watching a historical documentary. Mr. Johnson’s favorite book of the Bible is Ecclesiastes.

Kellie Nieves has served in the Curtis Daycare & Preschool since 2018. Kellie has been an active educator for the last six years having taught Third Grade in Honduras, Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in Atlanta, and Elementary students in Augusta. She is delighted to be serving with an excellent staff and devoted followers of Christ to empower the next generation of children in God’s Kingdom. Kellie is married to Jarrett Nieves; their daughter Lucy attends the CBS Daycare.
