Learning Place

Curtis Baptist School is now participating in the Georgia Special Needs Scholarship Program. To be eligible, students must have been Georgia public school students in the past year and have had an Individual Education Plan. For more information contact Miss Jessica Reed, the program coordinator, at 706-828-6624 or at jreed@curtisbaptist.org. You may also find more information on the Department of Education website.

Teachers in The Learning Place teach to the students’ strengths as they help with the remediation of the student's weaknesses. A Christ-based curriculum is used to teach every student where they are to become what God intends for them to be. A combination of textbooks, manipulatives, computer programs, and activities are used to address the learning style of each student.

How can your child become a part of The Learning Place?

-Submit IEP and psycho-educational testing to the Admissions Office (admissions@curtisbaptist.org). If possible, include work samples, standardized test results, and report card copies.
-The Learning Place Coordinator will follow up by scheduling a parent conference and a chance for the student to shadow in the appropriate classroom
-Upon approval by The Learning Place faculty, you will proceed with the online application packet.
