ImageThe Learning Place at Curtis Baptist School consists of classes for students in grades 1-12 that have a specific learning disability and/or Attention Deficit Disorder with or without hyperactivity. Students who have average to above average intelligence may struggle because of a specific learning disability in the area of reading comprehension, oral expression, listening, written expression, math calculation, math reasoning, or basic reading skills.

Teachers in The Learning Place teach to the students’ strengths as they help with the remediation of the students’ weaknesses. Christ-based curriculum is used to teach every student where they are to become what God intends for them to be. A combination of textbooks, manipulatives, computer programs, and activities are used to address the learning style of each student.
